CATS ON TUESDAY
Our cats decided that they do not want to share space with clouds, knitting or even random pics, so I had to set up yet another Blog, just for them.  The Butler and I have to do as we are told.
Cats Rule, OK..! (Click on photo's to enlarge.)

Calli was just 4 months old
in this photo, the black cat
below was Tosh, her admirer,
he died of cancer last year.

Rappy, now nearly 8, thought the bird table an excellent place to sunbathe.

Jet is also nearly 8, he came to us 4 years ago as a starving cat, he and Rappy are best buddies, and we believe Rappy told him that he would find a good home with us.

Calli is now our matriarch, she is twelve years old, she was very ill recently but we loved her back to health.

Rappy is Mommy's boy, and also her supervisor.  He has to tell her when it's time for bed, otherwise she would be on that computer all night long..!

Jet loves to lie and sleep on his back,
he might look fierce here, but he was
actually just having a big yawn.

When we first came back to England from the USA back in October 1985,we brought a Persian kitten with us, Caruso started out on the 3000 mile journey from California to Washington DC as a 3 month old, he enjoyed riding in the Cadillac, and only one motel turned us away in the 6 weeks we took to make the journey.  Caruso is no longer with us, but we have some beautiful memories of our 'singing Caruso' -

Caruso always loved to smell flowers,
and he especially loved Jasmine.

Caruso enjoyed the attention he got
from other passengers on the
Memphis Belle.

Whenever we stopped at Rest Stops, Caruso
would take off up the nearest tree, with
me flying along behind, so I had to buy a
length of rope to attach to his lead.

Six months in quarantine when we reached
the UK, but Caruso found a friend in a
horse in the paddock in front of his
window.  We visited him every two weeks,
making a 400 mile round trip from Yorkshire
to Reading, stopping at Harrods on the way
to pick up some chicken for him.

When Caruso finally came home, his
favourite toy was the snake draught
excluder, he killed it regularly.

I love this photo of him peering through the open staircase.
